Personal Development Plan is a Program to encourage Self-Growth. Each crew define their own Personal Goal and Action Plan.

Personal Development Plan
PDP is a tool to help crew grow. It is entirely up to each crew how they want to use it to help themselves. However, we want to ensure that everyone have goal to achieve, which is why PDP Form is Mandatory to submit.
β How do I identify my goal?
You can identify your goal by doing SWOT Analysis, and translate them into Action Plan using SMART Framework.
SWOT Analysis
SWOT Analysis is an Analysis Approach to define a goal :
- Strength : What are you good at ? What do you like ? What do you want to excel at ?
- Weakness : What are you lacking ? What things do you need to improve ?
- Opportunity : What opportunity you have in work or outside of work ?
- Threat : What obstacle might prevent you to achieve your goal ?
SMART Framework
SMART Framework is a methodology to achieve a goal :
- Specific : Define your goal to be more specific and less abstract
- Measurable : Find a way to measure your progress, and make your goal more tangible
- Achievable : Assess whether your goal is realistic and feasible
- Relevant : Ensure that this goal align with your long term goal, or your situation
- Time Bound : Set a deadline for this goal
PDP Execution
Implementation Step:
- Crew Fill PDP Form
- Crew Ask Mentor to Review and Approve their PDP before being submitted (review can be done via chat only)
- If crew is unsure of their PDP, they can Request Mentoring Session with their mentor to help them define their PDP.
- PDP is Approved by Mentor, and Submitted to Tech Department
- PDP is Reviewed by Tech Department
- If there are any concern, Tech Dept will inform the crew and mentor to Revise their PDP Form
- If all is well, PDP will be Approved by Tech Department

- PDP-Example.docx is used for example.
- PDP-CrewName.docx is used as template.

Open PDP-CrewName.docx.

Save as with this format: PDP-Name-yyyymm.docx where yyyy is year and mm is month all in number.

Now, before working on the document, go back to the previous page, move your PDP document to your folder. You can move your document by simply drag and drop the file to the destination folder.
Change header doc
Fill PDP Identification
- Crew Name: Fill it with your name.
- Mentor: Optional, can be empty, fill it with your mentor name only if you need mentor to help you fill this document.
- Feedback Session: Fill it with the date when the mentorship happen. Use yyyy-mm-dd for the date format.
- Reviewer: Ignore this box. This should be filled by reviewer.
Fill PDP Technical competency

How's previous plan? (The result from previous plan, challenges found and how to overcome it)
- If this is your first time, then leave it empty.
- List up your previous goal and action plans that works. If you canβnot if you want, give link to the result or just try to explain briefly about it.
- Describe goals and action plans that not works and failed to be achieved. What are the challenges that failed to be assessed in the previous plan, how you try to handle it, etc.
- Goals are not limited in technical competency, but also can be general competency, leadership competency, management competency, character development/culture alignment, etc.

What is your current objective? (Be more specific to your goal)
- This should be your main focus in developing your skill tree in your career path. You can start by asking yourself what do you think you'll become in the next few years, after 5 years, 10 years, and so on?
- Remember to align your objective whit Agate needs. See Why you choose that objective? for more explanation.
- Please consider your this activity in your product. If you think your objective takes more than 3 months because of your busyness, maybe you should break it down to make it more doable.
- You can start by doing something small, little by little, step by step, according to the your competency checklist that needs to be fulfilled.

Why you choose that objective? (What make that goal aligned with Agate?)
- Remember to align your objective with Agate needs. For example to help you, you can align your goal with your product needs or competency checklist (what competency you want to learn in this plan, the competency checklist itself has been aligned to what Agate needs).
- You may make some argument why this goal was aligned, but then those arguments will be reviewed first by mentor and if necessary by technical department, before you can start take the action.

What are your action plan? (How you're going to achieve it?)
- Point out your plan (with brief explanation if necessary).
- To help you, you can create your own breakdown task to give you some insight about more detailed info and make your action plan more measurable.
Conclusion
This whole thing will be the tracker document, to review not only for the crew, but also the mentor. From this PDP document we hope we can create better environment for developing our talent.
