RASCI Responsible, Accountable, Supporting, Consulted, Informed
R-Responsible
The person who does the work.
The executor. The doer.
There can be more than one R.
A-Accountable
The person who is ultimately answerable for the result.
The decision-maker. The owner.
There should be only ONE A per task.
If something fails, this is the person accountable.
S — Supporting
People who assist the Responsible person.
They contribute effort or resources.
C — Consulted
People who must be asked for input before action.
Two-way communication.
They provide expertise or feedback.
I — Informed
People who must be kept updated.
One-way communication.
They don’t decide, but they should know.
Presales Phase
The Presales Phase is the stage in which client needs are analyzed, market opportunities are reviewed, and a commercially viable proposal is developed and approved prior to product development.
Purpose:
To secure client approval and align stakeholders on a high-level game direction before entering the Ideation or development phases.
Key Activities:
- Client brief intake and clarification
- Market and competitor research
- Proposal development and estimation
- Client presentation and approval
- Internal project kick-off
Exit Criteria (Presales Ends When):
- Proposal and estimation are approved
- Internal kick-off is conducted
- Product Owner (PO), and team define the product vision/direction through Ideation Workshop
Note:
Presales establish and align the direction at a strategic level.
It does not include deep product validation or feature feasibility testing (these belong to the Ideation Phase).
Glossary for Task/Responsibility in Presale Phase
Analyze competitor that suited to client needs &budget and internal capability
Propose game idea, reference, desain pillar: create a pitch deck
Proposal estimation
Present proposal to the client
Project kick-off (internal): communicate the presales brief, project deck, initial vision, contract
Project kick-off (extrenal): introduce the team, discuss the rhythm, and hear the client needs
