Request Passbolt Account

Steps

  1. Request for Passbolt Account to DevOps by following the steps here: How to Create Request Ticket to DevOps
  2. Once completed, DevOps will provide you with a Passbolt Account
  3. Also, you will receive an email invitation to activate your Passbolt Account

Activate Passbolt Account

  1. Open email invitation from Passbolt, click :get started”

If you didnt have the plugin then you open the agate passbolt It will be automatically suggested for download the plugin

  • Click button "Download the Plugin".

  • It will redirect to Mozilla addons or Chrome web store, click button "Add to Firefox".

  • Click add

  • Refresh the browser tab. if the page still instruct to download plugin, please close the browser and reopen it

  • Now you could to be login into agate passbolt

  • Or if you didnt activate your account yet then you just click the invitation link

  1. It should open the activation account webpage, check the agreement > next

  1. In here you just need Click Next, Owner name and Owner Email has been inputted from admin

  1. Fill your password/passphrase. This is the only password that you need to remember and should remember (do not forget it) A hint on creating the password:

  • Use easy to remember sentence (use slang is preferable). quite lengthy (min 16 character)

  • Use number minimum one for each word, to mask the word. hello → h3ll0

  • Use symbol like ! or ?. more than 1 symbol is better. more unusual symbol is better (ex # % & @) example of passphase:

  1. After you set your passphrase, download the secret key Note : you need to backup by your own self, admin cant recover your account without the file

  1. Access https://gategit.agate.id/devops/passbolt-passphrase-recovery/-/pipelines, then run pipeline

Note: click this README.md first to see how to run pipeline in passbolt-passphrase-recovery repos

  1. Choose your security token, it will make your account more protected

  1. After all you will receive email activated the account

How to See Shared Credential from Admin

  1. Make sure you has passbolt extension or Install passbolt extension if you didnt have yet

  2. Login to Passbolt Login Page, fill with your credential

  1. Go to tab "passwords" and see your credentials and other credential that was shared by other crew

How to Add Credential

  1. Go to "passwords" tab and click Create

  2. Fill the form

    • Name = this is for initialize the tittle of credential. for clarity and easy to use please use this pattern [context] - [usename/identifier/name] ex: unity - admin, unity - babanstark, gitlab - babanstark

    • URL = this is url of the credential should be input on

    • Username = username/email of the credential

    • Password = password of the credential Use passbolt build-in password generator

    • Description = description of the credential Example : Name = gitlab - babanstark URL = https://gategit.agate.id Username = babanstark@agate.id Password = l342u59@)#9asdlHN0 Description = this is for gitlab credential for personal office account

  3. Create

How to Share Your Credential to Other Users

  1. Check which credential do you want to share

  2. Choose which access for the credential and to who do you want to share it You can remove access from the credential by click the "x"

  3. Save

  4. Now your credential can be read by the other user (only user you shared)

Just in Case, If You Forgot to Downloads your Secret key

  1. Go to Profile

  2. In left side, click Keys inspector

  3. Click button download "Private"
